The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge To Visit California In July

News, Life:
Kate Middleton Prince William and Royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton visit St Andrews University in Fife, Scotland, to mark the start of it's 600th anniversary year.As Patron of the 600th Anniversary Appeal, Prince William and his fiancee Miss Middleton attended a reception, viewed the surviving Papal Bull, launched the Patronage and met a selection of the University's current staff and students. Both the Prince and Kate studied at the ancient Scottish university and it is where they first set eyes on each other - almost 10 years ago! They are set to get married on April 29.
Their Royal Highnesses Prince William and Kate Middleton are slated to visit California from the 8th through the 10th of July in what is said to be a trip that will help strengthen the relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.

While us Californian’s are trilled for a Royal invasion, think of how ecstatic the Duchess of Cambridge must be! Maybe we’ll run into them poolside at the Roosevelt...

Have fun, you two!

Princess Diana & Kate Middleton Together On Erie 'Newsweek' Cover

News, Life:
The latest issue of Newsweek is breaking boundaries, maybe even going a little too far, with their latest cover featuring the new Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, happily walking alongside deceased mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

A sight that Prince William can only dream of, Newsweek has produced a shockingly realistic image of the Prince's new bride walking, chatting, and laughing side by side the beloved mother he tragically lost fourteen years ago.

The cover was done as a milestone tribute to the late Princess Di, who was killed in a devastating 1997 car crash, as she would turn 50 this coming Friday (July 1st). Fourteen years later, Newsweek master-photoshoppers create an aged Diana, suggesting what the late Princess would look like shall she still be alive today.

Tina Brown of Newsweek says of the topic:
The rising public adoration of Kate would have afforded Diana some tricky moments. Pleased, yes. But, like Frances Shand Kydd--who, days before Diana's wedding, suddenly burst out, "I have good long legs, like my daughter"--Diana would have had to adjust to a broadening of the limelight. Her edge over Kate, of course, was her own epic of princessly suffering, which would always make Diana's story more interesting. ("Happily ever after" will never have the same allure to the press as "It all went horribly wrong.") Diana, rejoicing in her flawless Spencer pedigree, would have positioned herself as a firm defender of the Middletons against the palace snobs and ostentatiously made Carole Middleton, Kate's dynamic mother, her new BFF.
You know, we're sure Newsweek was just aiming to give the public what they thought they wanted but took it a wee bit too far. The cover is erie, morbid and in poor taste.

We feel for you, William & Kate!

Prince William Drives His Bride Out of Buckingham Palace

Life, News:
The carriage was nice, but Prince William and Catherine Middleton have moved on – literally.

The newlyweds traded in their horse-drawn transportation for an Aston Martin convertible complete with a classic license plate: "JU5T WED."

Driving away from Buckingham Palace through the Mall Friday afternoon – William in the driver's seat – the
Duke and Duchess of Cambridge smiled and waved to well-wishers.

On the front of the vehicle was a red letter "L" – which stands for "learners permit."

Dr. David Livingstone, head of St. Andrew's University where the newlyweds met, remarked: "We were all speculating – he can fly a helicopter, but can he start the car?"

Next stop for the newlyweds: Prince Charles is throwing a dinner dance at 7 p.m. London time for about 300 guests at the palace.
