The shock that the state of California passed Proposition 8, illegalizing same-sex marriage in 2007 is still a shock and very disappointing. Just yesterday, this discriminatory proposition that passed by just a hair in 2007 was taken in front the California Supreme Court for reconsideration. Unfortuantely, the state of California made the wrong decision once again, allowing Prop 8 or more commonly kown as PROP H8, continue to stand in the "Land of Free." Although the court unanimously voted to continue to recognize the marriages of 18,000 same-sex couples in California, not a single gay couple will be allowed this same "freedom" so many take for granite due to this disgraceful proposition.
Churches from a wide variety of religions try to justify their fight against the happiness of same-sex couples, when in actuality, their actions and hate spread the word of evil, not God, in which they claim to stand for.
Uhhhhh, not to start preaching but doesn't the Bible say to treat thy neighbor as you would like to be treated? NOT HAPPENING! Doesn't the Bible say, love thy brother and sister (meaning your fellow man). Again, NOT HAPPENING!
Don't worry, California, the close-minded, ignorant, hateful individuals will catch on. One day.....
