The Portuguese shoe industry association, APICCAPS, has found a new marketing strategy to entice consumers - the art of sex. The country’s shoe association leaders will introduce a new campaign in January of 2011 titled, “Portuguese shoes - the sexiest industry in Europe.” The intoxicating campaign displaying 12 images captured by photographer Frederico Martins, features shoes designed and created in Portugal.
If sex can sell a cheeseburger (Paris Hilton for Carl’s Jr.), then it can definitely sell penny loafers.
