The Queen Has Spoken: Anna Wintour Speaks Out In Support of Gay Marriage

Fashion, News:
New Yorkers support marriage equality; Anna Wintour joins the fight

It’s not over yet!

With a rapidly fast growing list of celebrities and industry notables lending their voice in support of marriage equality, fashion messiah Anna Wintour joins the fight taking part in a testimonial video for the “New Yorkers for Marriage Equality” campaign. Created by the HRC (Human Rights Campaign), notables like Barbara Bush, Mario Bitali, Sean Avery and Mayor Michael Bloomberg are a few of the many lending their powerful voices in this imperative fight for equality.

Short and to the point, Ms. Wintour states:
“As far as I’m concerned, having the right to say ‘I Do’ is as fundamental as the right to vote.”
Nicely put! We couldn’t agree more.

Human Rights Campaign Senior New York Strategist Brian Ellner said in a release:
“As the preeminent voice in the global fashion industry and a publishing icon, Anna Wintour represents the best of New York. She knows the difference between a passing fad and an enduring brand. Equality is part of the New York brand.”
You make us proud, New Yorkers!
